All about the Centre Tour Booking.

We’ll start our tour by heading to the beautiful viewpoint of Pico dos Barcelos. Here you’ll look at an incredible view of the whole city of Funchal, including the bay and mountains. Next, we’ll drive you to Eira do Serrado throughout dramatic and spectacular views. Once at the top, you’ll enjoy a stunning sight of the “Nun’s Valley” and of the Central Massif that surrounds it. Our next stop will be the Parish of Monte, considered the most beautiful in the city and home to the last reigning monarch of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. First, we will visit the lovely Portuguese colonial church and the tomb of Charles I of Austria. Then we will walk to the departure of the famous toboggan, a unique means of transport for anyone who wishes an adventure ride down through the steep streets of Monte. The price of the tour does not include the ride. Book your seat now!

Madeira island holidays are the ideal getaway all year round. Madeira weather in coastal areas is temperate and mild with no great extremes-although the temperature can drop the higher you go on the island so, whatever time of year you visit, be sure to bring warm clothes when visiting the mountains. Obviously, rainfall is higher in the winter and you’ll probably need to pack a rain coat or umbrella. Madeira’s average temperatures range from 18C in winter to 25C in summer, with sea temperatures being nearly the same due to a warm Gulf Stream that surrounds the Island all year round, 18C to 22C.

The dress code for our tours is comfortable and casual. Dressing in layers gives most comfort as you can shed and add items when the climate varies. Consider packing.

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • An all-weather coat
  • Comfortable clothing.
