24 hours daily Departure Transfer pick-up

Just enter your flight number and time when you book.

We will pick you up at the reception of your hotel. We will hold a sign with our logo. Show your voucher* to the driver and hop inside the vehicle to go to the airport.

* You can present either a paper or an electronic voucher for this transfer.

For Airport departure transfers, you should make sure that you choose a pick-up time that will get you to Madeira Cristiano Ronaldo Airport at least 2 hours before your flight departure time. It takes between 20-25 minutes from Funchal to get to the airport, but only 10 minutes from Machico.

Private Group Transfer

Getting to or coming from Madeira Airport is easy.

You will receive an email confirmation with your transfer details. There is nothing more for you to do (although it’s always a good idea to take a printed copy or a print screen of your confirmation).

You will meet the representative in the arrivals hall of the airport, holding a Lux Madeira sign. He/ she will direct you to the coach. You will then meet the assistant in the hotel lobby at the designated time and date. The assistant is the person who will update you with the tour itinerary, events, and answer your questions and queries to help you make the most of your holiday.

To book transfers, we must receive complete arrival and departure details at the time of purchase. Without your airline information, we cannot book transfers.

If you have access to phone or internet, please contact our office. Call 00351 934 878 868 or email info@luxmadeira.com and advise us of approximately when you will be arriving. We will alert our personnel to make sure they are aware of. No extra payment in this case.

If you don’t inform us that your flight is delayed and you miss the scheduled transfer, we recommend that you take a taxi from the airport. Any additional expenses for transportation will be at your own expense. We regret that we cannot issue any refunds or credits for any missed transfer.

Prices are per vehicle, based on individuals or groups of 1 to 3 | 4 to 8 | 9 to 12 | 13 to 16 + baggage van | 17 to 22 | 23 to 55 passengers.

For all tours and airport transfers, we will collect you and drop you off at your hotel.

Our vehicle will have a very clear card (a banner) with our company logo on the windscreen and in case of being a group, the name of the group printed on it. Our driver or Tourist Guide will also have a list with the passenger’s name.

Madeira island holidays are the ideal getaway all year round. Madeira weather in coastal areas is temperate and mild with no great extremes-although the temperature can drop the higher you go on the island so, whatever time of year you visit, be sure to bring warm clothes when visiting the mountains. Obviously, rainfall is higher in the winter and you’ll probably need to pack a raincoat or umbrella. Madeira’s average temperatures range from 18C in winter to 25C in summer, with sea temperatures being nearly the same due to a warm Gulf Stream that surrounds the Island all year round, 18C to 22C.

The dress code for our tours is comfortable and casual. Dressing in layers gives most comfort as you can shed and add items when the climate varies. Consider packing.
