Prices are different in different seasons because of the various rates of hotels.
It is more expensive to travel in high season, from April until the end of September and especially in the 2 peak seasons: the New Year’s Eve Festivities (25 Dec–5 Jan) and the Flower Festival (May).
Autumn and Winter, from October to March, is low season. Travelling in the low season is an excellent way to gain an affordable trip, as airfare and hotel rates are a lot lower.
We choose hotels based on their location, feedback, and best value for money. That is the reason we do not publicise their names, because it depends on the season and other local circumstances that may occur such as festivals, works in the area, amongst others. For more details, please send us an email.
Yes, it’s the single supplement rate which depends on the date you choose (see contact form below). Please note that there are dates where this supplement is reduced.

Check-in time is at 14:00 and check-out at noon. If you arrive in the early part of the day, this can mean a wait at the hotel. Many hotels offer a left luggage area so you may enjoy this time by taking a walk, having a snack, or doing some exploring.
You will receive an email confirmation with your travel dates. There is nothing more for you to do (although it’s always a good idea to take a printed copy or a print screen of your confirmation).
You will meet the representative in the arrivals hall of the airport, holding a Booking-madeira.com sign. He/ she will direct you to the coach. Madeira island holidays are the ideal getaway all year round. Madeira weather in coastal areas is temperate and mild with no great extremes-although the temperature can drop the higher you go on the island so, whatever time of year you visit, be sure to bring warm clothes when visiting the mountains. Obviously, rainfall is higher in the winter and you’ll probably need to pack a raincoat or umbrella. Madeira’s average temperatures range from 18C in winter to 25C in summer, with sea temperatures being nearly the same due to a warm Gulf Stream that surrounds the Island all year round, 18C to 22C.
The dress code for our tours is comfortable and casual. Dressing in layers gives most comfort as you can shed and add items when the climate varies. Consider packing.
- Comfortable walking shoes
- An all-weather coat
- Comfortable clothing
Tours operate rain or shine, but in the case of inclement weather, your Tourist Guide will modify the tour so more time is spent indoors. It never hurts to have an umbrella on hand.
