Overview

Embark on an unforgettable journey through Eastern Madeira, a region renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Your adventure begins at the awe-inspiring Pico do Arieiro (1818 m.), offering panoramic views of Madeira’s volcanic peaks. Next, we visit the Ribeiro Frio Natural Park, home to the Laurisilva Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with 20 million years of history. Here, you have the optional opportunity to enjoy a 1.5 km short walk to Balcões, where stunning vistas await.

Continuing our journey, we stop at Faial, a picturesque village with sweeping coastal views. Discover the charm of Santana, famous for its traditional thatched cottages, and enjoy lunch with free time to explore. We then pass Portela, where you’ll take in captivating views of Porto da Cruz and the iconic Eagle’s Rock.

Our next stop is the Ponta de São Lourenço, a unique geological wonder characterised by vibrant, colourful rock formations and views extending to neighbouring islands like Porto Santo and Desertas. Finally, we visit Machico, Madeira’s historic city, where Portuguese explorers in the 15th century sparked the Age of Discovery.
