Overview

Join us on a journey along Madeira’s southern coast, where breathtaking landscapes meet authentic local culture. This full-day guided tour takes you through some of the island’s most picturesque villages, dramatic viewpoints, and coastal highlights. With a perfect mix of nature, history, and culture, this experience is designed for those who want to explore Madeira beyond the usual tourist spots.

We start in Ponta do Sol, the sunniest spot on the island, where charming streets and ocean views create a relaxing start to the day. Then, we visit Moledos viewpoint, offering panoramic views of rugged cliffs and lush banana plantations. In Calheta, a coastal town known for its golden sand beach, we take a glimpse into the island’s sugarcane heritage by visiting a traditional sugarcane factory.

Next, we make our way to Prazeres Educational Farm, where you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature while learning about Madeira’s local agriculture and herbal gardens. The journey continues to the Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse, one of the most stunning viewpoints on the island, perched on the edge of a towering cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A stop at Paul do Mar provides breathtaking views over this historic fishing village and its winding coastal road.

In the afternoon, we explore Jardim do Mar, a charming seaside village and a favourite among surfers for its impressive waves and scenic alleys. Finally, we wrap up the tour at Madalena do Mar, a peaceful fishing and farming village, where you’ll admire sweeping views of the southern coastline before heading back to Funchal.
