Following the light of the sun,
...we left the Old World.
From: €35.00
We will leave the Hotel to the North to visit the inspiring Cardina Ethnographic Museum and for a Porto Santo wine tasting. The Museum has the octagonal shape of the typical Mill and presents old tools for farming, fishing and handicraft, and stunning miniatures of Porto Santo’s fountains. We’ll continue to the City Centre to visit the historic Pier that was the only access to the island, for small and medium-sized boats, until 1984. Then we’ll visit the Monument to the Discoverers and Our Lady of Pity’s Main Church. The Christopher Columbus House Museum will give you a feel for the island’s history and its very famous traveller, who lived here for several years. We’ll end the tour with a taste of local food specialities before returning to the Hotel. Please note: since this booking requires confirmation, you do not need to pay at checkout. Reserve your seat now, and we will email you 1–2 days before the tour. CHECK AVAILABILITY NOW!

Porto Santo island holidays is the ideal getaway all year round. Porto Santo weather in coastal areas is temperate and mild with no great extremes-although the temperature can drop the higher you go on the island so, whatever time of year you visit, be sure to bring warm clothes. Obviously, rainfall is higher in the winter, and you’ll probably need to pack a raincoat or umbrella. Porto Santo’s average temperatures range from 18C in winter to 25C in summer, with sea temperatures being nearly the same due to a warm Gulf Stream that surrounds the Island all year round, 18C to 22C.
The dress code for our tours is comfortable and casual. Dressing in layers gives you comfort as you can shed and add items when the climate varies. Consider packing.
