From there, you can build the rest of your day: choose the duration (4h, 7h or 8h), your route (Madeira coastal cruise, Desertas Islands or Porto Santo), and any optional extras, including a gourmet lunch, sushi, premium drinks or even jet ski rental.

Aboard the 18m Princess V58 yacht, you’ll have access to comfortable cabins, lounge areas and a fully equipped deck. The yacht includes a forward VIP cabin and main bedroom with ensuite, 2 bathrooms, air conditioning and high-end finishes for your comfort.

I booked the private yacht cruise because I wanted to surprise my partner for his birthday — something quiet but memorable, without the noise or pressure of a big celebration.

When we arrived at the marina, the skipper was already there. Calm, polite, professional. No fuss. The yacht was even more elegant than in the photos. Polished deck, soft cushions, and that quiet hum of a boat ready to go. It felt private in the best way — not extravagant, just… right.

We were given a quick briefing, and then the coast of Funchal slowly started to shrink behind us. I didn’t think I’d care that much about the views — we live in Europe and travel often — but somehow Madeira looks different from the water. Softer. Wilder. More peaceful.

We chose the 7-hour tour, and I’m glad we did. It gave us time to disconnect properly. We stopped once to swim near the cliffs, and the water was perfectly clear. There were other boats in the distance, but not too close. No music. Just water, sun, and time.

We had pre-ordered a sushi platter and a bottle of white wine. It was served on the upper deck with proper plates and glasses — simple, fresh, not showy. My partner is not one to overreact, but I could see he was moved. It felt personal, not performative.

Later, I took a break in the lounge while he sat reading on the bow. I remember thinking: this is how you mark time — not with photos, but with presence.

The return was quiet. We both fell asleep for a while on the cushions. When we docked, the driver was already waiting for us. We got back to the hotel just before sunset, relaxed and not needing to say much.

Would I recommend it? Only if you want space. Not physical space — emotional space. Room to breathe, to pause, to feel the day as your own.

  • You can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before the tour.
  • If you cancel between 7 and 13 days in advance, we will refund 50% of the total amount.
  • For cancellations made less than 7 days before the tour, no refund will be possible.
  • If the tour is cancelled by the operator (for example, due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances), you will receive a full refund or credit.
  • For cancellations or questions, please contact us by phone.
  • In case of no-show, the full amount will be charged.
