Overview

Don’t miss the chance to witness one of the most charming events of the Madeira Flower Festival — the Madeira Classic Car Parade, held annually on the second Sunday of May. This event draws enthusiasts and visitors from all over, eager to see a delightful mix of classic cars, motorcycles, vintage buses and official vehicles on display.

Between 150 and 200 classic vehicles parade along Avenida do Mar, each decorated with a bouquet, bringing a nostalgic atmosphere to the streets of Funchal. Some vehicles also take part in the Madeira Classic Car Rally, offering a unique opportunity to admire rare models in motion.

As the cars pass by, the route comes to life with music, performers in flower-themed costumes, and the cheers of an appreciative crowd. After the moving display, all vehicles are showcased in a static exhibition along Avenida Francisco Sá Carneiro, allowing you to enjoy them at your own pace until approximately 18h30.

    The booking process and ticket delivery was excellent. The instructions to find the location were good and the parade was fabulous and we had good seats. Instructions for meeting point were very unclear as to an old Google photo of the location being provided. However, we called the agent and they talked us through to walk to our meeting point and the driver was waiting so overall a good experience.
