    All about the Climbing Madeira.

Rock climbing in Caniçal — This activity takes place in the Madeira Natural Park in the east of Madeira Island, more precisely in Caniçal (Baía d’Abra). Here, the rocks and the sea complement each other, forming a unique paradise landscape. The difficulty is low/medium, and the route can reach up to 15 meters, suitable for all ages with or without experience.

Climbing in Pico do Arieiro — we will do this activity at Pico do Arieiro, the third-highest mountain in Madeira, at an altitude of 1818 meters, in the Madeira Natural Park. The silence of nature helps to focus and balance the body and mind, making this activity a true energy recharge.

Madeira island holidays are the ideal getaway all year round. Madeira weather in coastal areas is temperate and mild with no great extremes-although the temperature can drop the higher you go on the island so, whatever time of year you visit, be sure to bring warm clothes when visiting the mountains. Obviously, rainfall is higher in the winter and you’ll probably need to pack a raincoat or umbrella. Madeira’s average temperatures range from 18C in winter to 25C in summer, with sea temperatures being nearly the same due to a warm Gulf Stream that surrounds the Island all year round, 18C to 22C.

The dress code for our tours is comfortable and casual. Dressing in layers gives most comfort as you can shed and add items when the climate varies. Consider packing.

    • An all-weather coat
    • Comfortable clothing.
